Questions

What is the difference between luxury vinyl plank and luxury vinyl tile?

Plank comes in long, narrow boards, usually with a timber look. Tile comes in squares or rectangles and often copies stone, concrete or a pattern. Both are tough and water resistant.

Which floor suits a busy corridor?

Luxury vinyl and carpet tile both handle heavy foot traffic well. Vinyl is easy to wipe clean, while carpet tile is quieter underfoot. The right choice depends on noise, cleaning and the look you want.

Can a damaged carpet tile be replaced on its own?

Yes. That is one of the main advantages of carpet tile. A stained or worn square can be lifted and replaced, so the whole room does not need redoing.

Do you prepare the floor before laying?

Yes. We check the slab, repair cracks, level uneven areas and treat moisture if needed. Good preparation helps the new floor lie flat and last longer.

What happens at the first visit?

We look at the site, measure the rooms and check the base. We also talk about how the space is used and when the work needs to happen, then use that to plan the job.

How long does an installation take?

It depends on the area, the floor type and the amount of preparation. We agree the timing during planning, so you know the program before work starts.

Can you work while the building stays open?

Often, yes. We can stage the work by area and run after hours, so the people in your building can carry on. We talk through access and safety during planning.

Do you lay floors outside Melbourne?

Yes. We are based in Melbourne and work across Victoria, including regional towns.

How soon can people walk on a new floor?

Light foot traffic is often fine soon after laying, but adhesives need time to cure. We tell you how long to wait for heavy traffic and rolling loads on your product.

How do I look after a new vinyl floor?

Sweep or vacuum often, mop with a neutral cleaner and wipe up spills quickly. Mats at the doors catch grit, which is the main cause of scratches.
